Privacy Policy
Effective date: Aug 11 2026
This policy covers blueberryfarmfilm.com, the site for The Blueberry Farm, a short film produced by Megafauna Foundry in Olympia, Washington. It explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We’re a small crew making an independent film. We collect only what we need to run this site and keep you in the loop—nothing more.
What we collect
When you donate. Donations are processed by Stripe or PayPal. We don’t see or store your full card number. We do receive your name, email address, donation amount, and transaction ID so we can send a thank-you, keep our books straight, and, if applicable, confirm your gift for tax purposes.
When you sign up for updates. If you join our email list, we collect your email address and, if you give it, your name.
When you browse the site. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, including visited pages, time on site, device or browser, and approximate city or region. This happens through cookies. You can block or clear cookies through your browser settings or opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
What we don’t collect. We don’t collect your card number, bank details, or Social Security number: those go straight to our payment processor. We don’t sell your information, ever, to anyone.
How we use what we collect
We use information to process and acknowledge donations; send film updates when you have signed up; understand how people are finding and using the site; and meet our recordkeeping and, where relevant, tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information with payment processors such as Stripe and PayPal to process donations, Google Analytics to measure site traffic, and an email service provider to send newsletter updates when you have opted in. We don’t share your information with anyone else, and we don’t sell it.
How long we keep it
We keep donor and mailing list records as long as needed for our own recordkeeping and tax purposes, or until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data follows Google’s standard retention settings.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message we send or by contacting us directly. You may ask us to delete your information by contacting us; we’ll remove what we can, though basic donation records may need to be kept for tax purposes. You may also opt out of analytics using browser cookie settings or Google’s opt-out tool.
Children’s privacy
This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
